Annual Art Exhibition.

Neerja Modi School took immense pleasure in hosting the Annual Prize Giving Function and Annual Art Exhibition in the school premise. Around 450 students participated.
All the guests and visitors were thrilled to see the art exhibition of the students. The work was theme based and every child’s work was displayed. Children made creative portraits and compositions depicting the cultural roots and beliefs of ‘Majestic Rajasthan’. Rich textiles in portraits were also showcased.
The programme commenced with a welcome speech followed by Prize Giving ceremony. Students were felicitated in under various categories.
This was followed by a cultural programme. The students put up Orchestra: ‘Eye of the tiger’.
This year, adaptation of one of the most beloved musicals of all, “Life and time of the Witches of Oz” Choreographed by Ms. Garima Shitoot and theatrical presentations “Romeo and Juliet “ and “Blood wedding” directed by Ms Erika Bilder were the highlights of the show.
The “Life and time of the Witches of Oz” tells what it really is to be wicked and whether good intentions with bad results are the same as bad intentions with bad results. Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ makes one to think of letting old family wounds go, and not letting your emotions rule your life. ‘Blood Wedding’ is a Spanish tragedy exploring love, conflict, sacrifice and vengeance.
Beautiful backdrops and fascinating props transformed the stage and took audience back into time. The coordination amongst the students was lovely and everyone present applauded them wholeheartedly.
The evening full of power packed performances ended with vote of thanks.
